The price of a personalized medal does not come from a single rate. It changes with the volume, size, number of sides with embossing, color printing, and ribbon. The mold has a greater impact on the first order and is removed from the calculation when exactly the same design is reordered.
Indicative price and what affects it
As a reference, the base price can range approximately from €4 per unit for one-sided embossing and a generic ribbon to €8 per unit for different embossing designs on both sides, full-color printing on both sides, and a personalized ribbon. The quantity, size, and complexity of the design can lower or increase the price; an exact quote is provided upon request.
These figures do not include VAT or shipping. Shipping 100 medals usually costs approximately 10–15 €, so its per-unit impact is small, but it is calculated separately.
Example with a first order of 200 units
This table corresponds to the premium option: a medal customized with the customer's logo on both sides, embossing on both sides, full-color printing on both sides, and a personalized ribbon. The two embossed designs are reviewed as a single piece so that their volumes are compatible.
In these three cases, the first price already includes the mold. If 200 medals are reordered using the same mold, exactly €200, €220, or €250 is deducted from the total. The indicative result is as follows:

For example: 200 60 mm medals at €6.20 each total €1,240. By reusing the €200 mold, the same calculation comes to €1,040, or €5.20 per unit. The price per volume also changes for different quantities, so a new quote is provided.
The essential option: one-sided embossing and a smooth back
To compare with the premium option, a 60 mm medal with the customer's logo embossed only on the front, no printing, a smooth back, and a generic ribbon starts at €4.50 per unit for 200 units. The first order totals €900.00 and includes a single-sided mold costing €120.
For an identical reorder of 200 units, that mold is eliminated: the comparable total is €780.00, that is, €3.90 per unit. For 70 and 80 mm, the price increases in the same proportion as the premium configuration; the exact figure is confirmed when quoting the design and volume.
Essential does not mean generic
This configuration already differs from the usual standard medal: the customer's name and logo are physically part of the relief. An unpersonalized piece may lose its context over the years; when it identifies the event, date, location, and organizing entity, it immediately brings back the memory of that day. Details that change between editions can be printed in the designated area without making the mold unusable.
The €4–€8 range does not describe a single medal
The end close to €4 corresponds to simple configurations: relief on one side and a generic ribbon, especially when the volume helps spread the costs. The end close to €8 includes different reliefs on two sides, color, and a customized ribbon. There are many combinations in between.
It is not advisable to compare only the diameter. An irregular piece with two volumes, printing, and a full ribbon may cost more than a circular piece of the same size with a smooth back. The exact figure is quoted after reviewing the design and quantity.
The mold is not a percentage discount
For a reorder, we do not promise a fixed percentage. The actual cost of the mold that no longer needs to be manufactured is deducted. In the example of 200 units, this is equivalent to €1 per unit for 60 mm, €1.10 for 70 mm, and €1.25 for 80 mm. The resulting savings are around 16% in these three examples, but the percentage changes with the volume and configuration.
The useful formula is simple: total cost of the first order minus the mold cost, divided by the units in the comparable reorder. If the quantity changes, the factory pricing scale changes too, so a reorder of 100 is not calculated by copying the price of one for 200.
Which changes preserve the mold
The mold can be kept when the shape and all reliefs are identical. The finish, subsequent printing, ribbon, or distribution by categories can be quoted again without changing that geometry. Modifying the logo, a raised date, the outline, or the volumes requires the mold to be reviewed and another one usually manufactured.
VAT, shipping, and payment method
The prices in this guide are base prices and do not include VAT. Shipping has little impact on the total: for 100 medals, it is usually around €10–15, although it is always listed separately in the quote. The pieces arrive assembled and individually bagged; the cardboard box is priced as an option.
The first order must be paid 100% in advance by SEPA. Companies that already work with deferred payment may request non-recourse factoring, at an additional cost that must be stated in the offer.
