Catalog of Personalized Metal Medals

This catalog brings together custom metal medals for clubs, associations, events, schools, and town councils. Each order starts from the organization’s identity and is manufactured to order, from 100 units per reference. It is not limited to adding a sticker to a generic piece: the shape and relief originate from the design itself.

A custom medal versus a generic medal

Most organizers are familiar with standard medals and do not consider that they can have a piece featuring their logo in physical relief. The cost increase is modest for an object that identifies the event organizer and that participants keep. The difference can be seen in the shape, the visual weight of the emblem, and the ribbon—not just in added text.

A generic medal can become disconnected from its story as the years pass. If the piece preserves the event name, date, location, and organizing entity, it immediately brings the memory back. Not everything has to be part of the mold: the name and logo can be incorporated into the relief, while variable details can be printed so the mold can be reused.

Zinc alloy metal and physical relief

The medal is made from a zinc alloy, technically known as zamak. The design is part of the piece’s relief: it is not ink, vinyl, or laser engraving applied afterward. It can be modeled in 2D or 3D and retains considerable detail, although lines that are too fine, tiny text, and complex photographs have to be adapted to the metal.

We offer gold, silver, and bronze finishes, either antiqued or non-antiqued. Additional color is printed in full color directly onto the metal.

Front and back are decided together

The front features the custom relief. The back can be left smooth or can also include relief. In the latter case, the two sides are not designed independently: the raised elements on one side must correspond to the opposite side, and they are reviewed as a single piece. The mold can be prepared for one or two sides; customizing only one side is slightly more economical.

3D relief and full-color printing on both sides

A single medal can combine physical raised relief with full-color printed areas on both the front and back. Both sides are designed together so that the relief elements are compatible and the printed image follows the piece’s geometry.

Shape, ribbon, and presentation

  • Shape: circular, square, or completely irregular around the symbol; the design does not need to fit into a template.
  • Generic ribbon: solid colors or the Spanish flag.
  • Personalized ribbon: it can feature logos, words, photographs, or a complete design.
  • Delivery: each medal arrives assembled and in an individual transparent plastic bag. An individual cardboard box can also be included in the quote.

If the relief and mold are the same, different finishes or categories can be combined within the batch. The specific distribution is confirmed in the quotation.

Indicative price and what affects it

As a guide, the base price can range from approximately €4 per unit with relief on one side and a generic ribbon, up to €8 per unit with different reliefs on both sides, full-color printing on both sides, and a personalized ribbon. The quantity, size, and complexity of the design can lower or increase the price; the exact quote is provided when requesting a quotation.

These figures do not include VAT or shipping. Shipping 100 medals usually costs approximately 10–15 €, so its impact per unit is small, but it is calculated separately.

Example based on an initial order of 200 units

This table corresponds to the top-of-the-range: a customized medal with the client's logo on both sides, relief on both sides, full-color printing on both sides, and a customized ribbon. The two reliefs are reviewed as a single piece so that their volumes are compatible.

In these three cases, the first price already includes the mold. If 200 medals are repeated using the same mold, exactly €200, €220, or €250 is deducted from the total. The estimated result is as follows:

Premium configuration customized on both sides
Size First order of 200 Mold included Mold per unit Restocking order of 200
60 mm 6,20 € 200 € 1,00 € 5,20 €
70 mm 6,70 € 220 € 1,10 € 5,60 €
80 mm 7,80 € 250 € 1,25 € 6,55 €

For example: 200 60 mm medals at €6.20 total €1,240. By reusing the €200 mold, the same calculation comes to €1,040, or €5.20 per unit. The price also changes with the volume for other quantities, so a new quote is provided.

The essential alternative: relief on one side and a smooth reverse

To compare with the top-of-the-range option, a 60 mm medal with the client's logo in relief only on the front, no printing, a smooth reverse, and a generic ribbon starts at €4.50 per unit for 200 units. The first order totals €900.00 and includes a single-sided mold costing €120.

For an identical restocking order of 200 units, the mold is eliminated: the comparable total is €780.00, or €3.90 per unit. For 70 and 80 mm, the price increases in the same proportion as the premium configuration; the exact amount is confirmed when quoting the design and volume.

Essential does not mean generic

This configuration already differs from the usual standard medal: the client's name and logo are physically incorporated into the relief. An unpersonalized piece may lose its context over the years; when it identifies the event, date, location, and organizing entity, it immediately brings back the memory of that day. Details that change between editions can be printed in the designated area without making the mold unusable.

A mold suitable for more than one edition

Casting requires a physical mold, but that mold is only made once. To reuse it, it is best to include what does not change in the relief: logo, entity name, shape, and permanent elements. The year, category, venue, or dedication can be reserved for an area printed in full color afterward.

Factory restocking orders have a minimum of 100 units. There is another option when the organization already has base medals in stock from the first run: we can print details for a subsequent event starting from around 10 medals, at an estimated cost of approximately €2 per medal. Ten new pieces are not manufactured; the stock that had already been set aside for this purpose is personalized.

From the initial file to delivery

  1. Quote. The offer is valid for 15 days and specifies the size, quantity, number of sides, finish, color, ribbon, packaging, VAT, and shipping.
  2. Design preparation. We can work with a vector file or improve a low-quality original as far as the available information allows. A small or blurry file does not contain the missing detail, which cannot always be reconstructed.
  3. Digital proof. The shape, relief, text, color, and ribbon are reviewed before the mold is manufactured. An individual physical sample costs around €300 because it requires making the mold and carrying out the factory process; this is why digital approval is standard.
  4. Payment and production. The first order must be paid for in full in advance via SEPA. The estimated lead time is approximately four weeks from payment and confirmation. If a company already has deferred payment terms, non-recourse factoring with an additional fee may be considered.
