The capybara is the exception on this page: it is not a studio license like Disney or Marvel, but a design. This has a practical consequence worth knowing because it changes what can be personalized and what cannot.
Backpacks and what can have a name
There are two backpacks: the Capybara Ballerina, with a smooth front, and the Capybara Be Cappy 3D, with the character's relief on the front.
Since it is not a studio license, in this family there are items that do allow a name. The capybara lunchbox has it in adhesive vinyl on the lid, and the capybara tote bag from the back-to-school catalog has it in heat-transfer textile vinyl on the cotton. The backpacks, however, remain resale items without personalization.

How to know which one is yours
These backpacks are official resale merchandise: they are not personalized on the fabric. And in a classroom coat rack, there are several of the same character, so the problem of identifying it is real.
What we offer for that is a laser-engraved faux leather tag with the child's name, which attaches to the zipper pull. It is ordered as an option on the backpack’s product page and charged separately: it is not included in the price. The laser engraving marks the material, so it does not rub off like a marker does.
Official product
Everything on this page is a licensed item from the character’s rights holder, not an imitation. If you are considering buying elsewhere, in how to distinguish an original licensed backpack from a copy we explain what to look for.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the capybara an official license from any series?
No, it is a capybara design, not a character with a studio license. That’s why some items in this family can be personalized.
What can be personalized with a name?
The lunchbox, with adhesive vinyl on the lid, and the tote bag, with heat-transfer textile vinyl. The backpacks cannot.
Are the capybara mugs the same as the character mugs?
No. Licensed mugs cost €3.50 and have a child-sized capacity; the capybara mugs are larger and priced differently.
Does the 3D backpack weigh more than the smooth one?
A bit more, and especially it takes up more space because the molded front doesn’t fold. If the classroom hooks are tight, the smooth one causes fewer problems.
