Laser-engraved PU leather glasses cases and sleeves

What is laserable leather?

It is PU leather, a synthetic material: it is not genuine leather. What makes it different is that it is made of two layers in different colors. The laser carefully removes the top layer to reveal the one underneath, which becomes the color of the engraving.

This leads to two rules worth keeping in mind before choosing. First: the engraving is monochrome, always in the color of the bottom layer, so each sample is named as base / engraving. Second: the engraving is permanent, because there is no ink or vinyl on top; what you see is the material itself.

The two formats

The hard case measures 16.5 × 8.5 × 4 cm and protects against knocks with its rigid shell. The soft sleeve measures 18 × 9 cm and is the lightweight option for carrying in your handbag. Both are engraved in the same way.

Frequently asked questions

Is laserable leather genuine leather?
No. It is PU leather, a synthetic material made of two layers. It is called laserable because it is manufactured for laser engraving.
How is the engraving color achieved?
The laser removes the surface layer of PU and reveals the bottom layer, which is a different color. This lower color becomes the engraving color and cannot be changed: it is determined by the selected combination.
Can it be engraved in multiple colors?
No. The engraving is monochrome, always in the color of the bottom layer. It can be text, initials, or a logo, but everything will be in that one color.
Does the engraving wear off with use?
No. It is not ink or vinyl applied to the surface; it is the material itself that is revealed.
What are the dimensions of the two formats?
The hard case measures 16.5 × 8.5 × 4 cm, and the soft sleeve measures 18 × 9 cm.
Are the on-screen colors exact?
They are for guidance only. The actual shade varies depending on the screen and the material batch.
