The price includes two engravings, which you can split however you want: both sides of the metal, both sides of the wood, or one on each material. Indicate this in the order note. Engraving wood and engraving steel cost the same.

How we do it
1. Decide the text
A short message works better than a paragraph. “From the whole team, 1998-2026” says the same as five lines.
2. Distribute the two engravings
Text on the wood, date on the steel, is usually the combination that looks best. Indicate this in the order note.
3. We review before engraving
If any of the text doesn’t fit or won’t be readable on that material, we notify you before marking the piece.
4. Engraving and shipping
The laser marks the material and there is no curing or drying afterward, so the piece is ready as soon as it’s engraved.
Frequently asked questions
How much text fits in the dedication?
A short phrase and a date fit on the wooden handle. On the steel, something shorter. If you send us the exact text, we’ll tell you if it fits before engraving.
Can a company logo be engraved alongside the dedication?
Yes, and it’s a common use for retirements: the logo on the steel and the team’s dedication on the wood. Both engravings included in the price are needed.
Does the engraving fade with use or washing?
No. The laser marks the material itself; it doesn’t deposit ink on top. It’s best not to put it in the dishwasher because of the wood, not because of the engraving.
Is it suitable for someone who doesn’t know about wine?
It’s a two-step corkscrew, the waiter’s model. It requires a bit more technique than the butterfly type at first, but it pulls the cork out without breaking it, which is where the domestic ones fail.
Can I order several with different dedications?
Yes. Each unit is engraved with what you specify, so you can order several different ones in the same order.
