Who we are and our relationship with xTool
This is the blog of Picasita, a laser personalization workshop. It is written by Noemi and Javi, who are the ones using the machines every day.

This is not an official xTool site. We do not speak on behalf of the brand nor do we have access to information that is not public or that we have not experienced ourselves.
Which machines we cover
We started writing about our xTool P3, the 80 W CO₂ laser that has supported the workshop since October 2025, and half of this blog is still about it: installation, breakdowns, material parameters, and cost analysis.
Since July 2026, we also cover the xTool O1 Omni, the UV printer. Here comes an important clarification, because the two series of articles are not read the same way:
- What we share about the P3 we have experienced. These are hours of machine use, broken parts, and invoices.
- What we share about the O1 Omni, not yet. We have purchased one — Dual UV, Versatile Bundle, fully paid — and are waiting for it to be shipped. Until it arrives, those articles are documentation work: official datasheets, published prices, and what beta testers report, always attributed to their source. We do not pretend to have used it in any of them.
The three things you need to know before reading us
We buy our machines by paying for them. The P3, at full price on the day it was released. The O1 Omni, fully and in advance. These are not units loaned for reviews or temporary loans. We use them to generate income, and if they stop, we lose money. That is exactly why we bother to share the problems.
We are xTool affiliates. Some of the links to the brand’s products give us a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. When we link a product, we indicate it in the article itself. The commission does not change what we write: on these pages you will find accessories we recommend without reservation, others we openly say are not worth it, and advertised features that we have written are disproven.
Our workshop is a demonstration space for the brand’s machines. This goes beyond affiliate links, and that is why we say it here, in a fixed place, and not buried in a footnote.
Where our information comes from
Everything we publish here comes from one of these four sources, and we try to make clear which one in each case:
- Our own experience with the machine in commercial production.
- Official xTool documentation and responses from their technical support, cited as such.
- The community of owners and beta testers, named when known, especially the brand’s forum and official group.
- Public prices from the European store, excluding VAT and with the date we checked them, because they change.
If a fact has no backing, we do not write it. When something is our impression and not a measurement, we say so explicitly. And when two sources contradict each other, the official xTool datasheet and documentation take precedence over forum comments.
Why the articles have old dates
This blog tells things in order. The articles are dated at the moment the events they describe happened — installation, first serious scare, announcement that changed a purchase decision — not when we sat down to write them. The facts and their dates are documented with invoices, delivery notices, and public publications; what you read is a retrospective account, written from the present about things that happened.
From this follows a rule we respect article by article: each one only tells what was true at its date. In a May article you will not find prices published in June.
