The xTool O1 Omni already has a sheet, price, and three versions. And here comes the part that almost no one emphasizes enough: the ink configuration is fixed and cannot be changed after purchase. No upgrades, no kits, no "we'll see next year." You choose once.
This article is to help you make the right choice. Let's go with the official sheet in front of us, real European prices, and without sugarcoating the commitments each version assumes.

All three, in one sentence each
This is how xTool defines them:
Single UV. Entry-level, for personalizing rigid material: wood, acrylic, glass, metal, ceramic, plastic, phone cases, signs, thermal mugs.
Dual UV. For those seeking advanced UV applications and effects: besides rigid materials, soft UV materials like leather and canvas, flexible white ink, fluorescent colors, and the fastest texture printing of the three.
UV-DT. The most versatile in materials: rigid and fabric. Cotton, polyester, tote bags, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and DTF film.
The sheet, field by field
This is what the official sheet says, not what the video says:

The channel acronyms, where everyone gets confused: W is white, V is varnish, RW rigid white, FW flexible white, FR fluorescent red, and FY fluorescent yellow.
Notice a detail in the table that is often overlooked: the work area and maximum relief are identical in all three. What changes between versions is not how large you print, but with what you print.
Regarding speed, a pre-launch specification sheet circulates attributing 9.7 sq ft/h to the Single and the UV-DT, and 17.2 to the Dual. That data does not appear today in the official sheet, so we provide it with its source and not as a catalog figure. It does match, however, what a beta tester with the UV-DT reports: that their machine prints at the same speed as the single-head one. The fastest is the Dual.

Eight combinations, not nine: the Single UV does not have a Versatile Bundle.

The Rotary Bundle adds the rotary, which alone costs €402.33. The Versatile also adds the laminator and roll feeder, which alone cost €905.48 for the set. Do the math before deciding: in some cases, the bundle jump costs more than buying the parts separately, and there are threads in the community asking exactly that without a clear answer.
The compromise that xTool has shifted
Here’s the analysis that really matters, and it’s not ours: someone in the community put it very well, and we agree.
There has always been an uncomfortable compromise with desktop UV printers: rigid white ink or flexible white ink. Rigid is good for wood, acrylic, or metal. Flexible is the one that can bend without cracking, and it’s what you need for leather, canvas, or a fabric bag. On single-head machines, you choose one and live with it.
Many people expected the Omni to solve that dilemma. What xTool has done is something else: they’ve shifted the ink compromise to the machine choice. Now you don’t choose which white ink to load: you choose which version to buy, and with it, which whites you can use for the entire life of the equipment.
That’s why so many people are stuck. The question is no longer “Which printer should I buy?” but “What will I be focusing on in three years?”
Three questions to get unstuck
1. Are you going to print on something that bends?
Leather, faux leather, canvas, fabric bags, patches. If the answer is yes and it’s a real part of your business, you need flexible white, and today that’s only available on the Dual UV. If it’s an occasional whim, don’t buy a whole machine for it: the UV DTF transfer covers many of those cases from any of the three.
2. Are you going to print on real garments?
“Really” means t-shirts and sweatshirts on a regular basis, not just one for your brother-in-law. If that’s the case, the UV-DT is the only one that does it directly. Before deciding, read what the full DTG workflow involves, because it’s not just putting the shirt in and hitting print.
3. How many heads do you want to maintain?
This is the question asked the least but moves the most money. The two-head versions have two expensive consumable parts instead of one. And the second head must be maintained with ink and humidifier even if you hardly use it, because it’s part of the circuit. If you’re going to use the second head’s features little, you’re paying for it twice: when buying and maintaining. The full calculations are in the cost article.
Our choice
We have purchased the Dual UV in Versatile Bundle, fully paid. The reasons, briefly: we work a lot with materials that bend — faux leather, canvas, bags — and the flexible white opens up products we currently reject; and the rotary and laminator were not optional for us, because the thermal cup and the sticker with finish are half our catalog line.
We’re not saying it’s the right choice for you. In fact, if you only work with wood, acrylic, and metal, the Single UV is more machine for your money: same area, same relief, same vision system, and only one head to replace.
And a final warning that applies to us as well: the machine is not yet in our workshop. Everything above comes from the official datasheet, published prices, and what beta testers report. When we have it in front of us, if anything here doesn’t hold up, we will say so here.
