Personalised comforter with your baby's name embroidered on it
There is one little toy that turns up in almost every photo of the first months: the one that sleeps in the cot, travels in the pram and ends up in a hand just as sleep arrives. This personalised comforter in bobble dot fabric is made to be that companion, and it has your baby's name embroidered on it so it is theirs alone from day one.
A sleepy bear or a giraffe, a newborn comforter to cuddle from birth
The bear wears a nightcap and a bow tie, and you can choose it in pink, green, yellow, grey or white. The giraffe has an ecru fabric and, on the back, a print of giraffes, elephants and crocodiles. Both measure 28 cm high and 20 cm wide, a size that fits in a newborn's hand and in the bag you take on walks.
The bobble dot fabric has a raised texture: it is soft and full of little bumps that invite touching. There are knots on all four corners that your baby grabs, squeezes and chews, just as babies have always done with their comforters.
A comforter with a name that becomes their first friend
We embroider the name in the centre of the bobble dot fabric. You choose the font and the thread colour, and before adding it to the basket you see a preview of the embroidery on the model you have picked. A personalised comforter has something special: as your baby grows, it stays theirs, the one they recognise among all others and the one the family ends up keeping as a memento.
If they are twins or cousins born in the same year, order a personalised comforter for each one, in different colours, and there will be no mix-ups at nap time.
A gift for a newborn that gets used every day
If you are going to meet a baby who has just arrived, this newborn comforter is a small gift the family will really use: in the cot, at nursery or in the hospital bag. It is also a good present for a baby shower or a christening, and you can complete it with other newborn gifts from our shop.
Material and care
It is made of 100 % polyester, meets the EN 71 toy safety standard and the REACH regulation, and is suitable from 0 months. It is machine washable on the delicates programme.
Frequently asked questions
From what age is this personalised comforter suitable?
From birth. It is suitable from 0 months and meets the European toy safety standard EN 71, so this newborn comforter can be with your baby from their first days at home.
Can my baby chew the knots?
Yes, that is what they are for. The knots on the four corners are the first thing your baby grabs, squeezes and puts in their mouth, just like with any classic comforter.
What is embroidered on the comforter?
We embroider your baby's name in the centre of the bobble dot fabric, in the font and thread colour you choose. Before adding it to the basket you see a preview of the embroidery on your model.
What does the back of the embroidery look like?
We embroider the whole comforter just as you see it, without unpicking or taking it apart. That is why the back of the fabric shows the reverse side of the embroidery, where the bobbin thread and the stabiliser can be seen. This is normal for any embroidery done on an already finished piece.
How do I wash it?
In the washing machine, on the delicates programme.
Are the bear and the giraffe the same size?
Yes, both measure 28 cm high and 20 cm wide: a comfortable size for a newborn's hands and easy to carry in the pram bag.
